LIVERPOOL Football Club doctor Mark Waller has set up a dedicated sports injury clinic in the city's Rodney Street.
Together with clinic director Lynda Byrom the one-stop-shop will treat everyone from Premiership football stars to weekend warriors from the Sunday leagues.
No GP referrals are required and the clinic's team will draw on the expertise of respected consulting surgeons specialising in upper limb, hip, knee, foot and ankle injuries, a spinal neurosurgeon and physiotherapists.
The clinic will provide pre-op, surgery and post-op rehabilitation packages aimed at patients from a sports or performing arts background.
Dr Waller said: "We believe this is a unique practice in the region with highly-qualified and specialist doctors treating elite athletes and amateur sport players under the one roof."
Ms Byrom added: "We felt there was a need to make the process of getting sports injuries treated more streamline, and setting up the sports injuries clinic at the North West Specialist Clinic means we can ensure a speedy service for those wanting to get back to sport quickly."
