Mr. Hearnden qualified from Kings College Medical School in London.
His Orthopaedic training was in South West London before winning a
fellowship in hand and shoulder surgery at The Wrightington Hospital. He
specialises exclusively in upper limb surgery of the hand, wrist, shoulder
and elbow, as well as general trauma. His surgery uses advanced
arthroscopic (keyhole) and minimally invasive methods. His special
interests include:

Mr. Hearnden routinely treats complex and tertiary hand and upper limb
disorders from the North West of England. He is a Consultant Hand and
Upper Limb Surgeon at Wrightington, Wigan & Leigh NHS Trust. In
addition to his surgical qualifications, he holds a BSc in medical physics.
Mr. Hearnden lectures nationally and internationally on Hand and Shoulder
Surgery, he is published in the medical journals and a member of several
professional organisations.
Mr. Hearnden performs shoulder ultrasound in the clinic, providing a one-
stop diagnostic service for shoulder injuries and diseases. Mr Hearnden's
practice offers a comprehensive multidisciplinary upper limb service,
through close links with referring therapists and clinicians.
Personal Profile:
Mr Hearnden is married with two daughters aged 6 and 3. His wife is a GP
and their interests include skiing, gardening and DIY restoration projects.
