Mr Adam Hoad Reddick Hip Surgeon
Adam is an established Orthopaedic Consultant with a clinical practice specialising in hip and knee disorders. He is a Consultant at Wrightington Hospital and underwent general orthopaedic training in Merseyside where he grew up before undergoing specialist training both at Wrightington Hospital, at the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield and a three month visiting fellowship attachment at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Adam has now developed a specialist interest in hip related sports and degenerative problems, assessment of sport people with groin dysfunction, labile tears and unexplained hip pain. He is also very interested in young people with degenerative hip conditions and his surgical treatment options include hip resurfacing, small incision hip replacement and modern technology bearing surfaces. He also offers a hip arthroscopy service managing sports people with labile tears and hip pain.
He is active in research and publishes regularly in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery for whom he also acts as a paper reviewer.
Outside work, Adam has two young children and he also enjoys competitive yacht racing on a regular basis.
